Founded in 2018, The SEED Initiative is a non-governmental organization dedicated to addressing the educational and well-being needs of underprivileged individuals in rural communities across Africa. From its inception, our organization has been committed to implementing a variety of services tailored to the unique requirements of these communities.
Our journey began with the launch of our inaugural outreach event at The Destitutes Home in Okobaba on January 27, 2019. Proactively choosing to initiate change rather than relying on governmental or external entities, we aimed to instill hope in the hearts of those facing despair in the community. Our efforts included furnishing children with essential school supplies, such as stationeries and footwear, while also distributing food supplies to the adults within the community.
In response to the global coronavirus pandemic, we established the SEED Relief Program in 2020 to aid the less privileged affected by the lockdown and hardships brought about by the pandemic. Our commitment to the overall well-being of communities was further demonstrated through the SEED-MEDGLOBE Medical Outreach, where we collaborated with MEDGLOBE to provide free medical check-ups, medications, and health talks to over 300 residents at The Destitute Home Okobaba.
As we reflect on our past works, including the recent Ilaje Community Outreach II in December 2023, where we distributed essential school supplies to around 200 pupils, we are motivated to continue our journey of positive change. The SEED Initiative remains steadfast in its commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of underprivileged individuals and fostering positive transformation within communities.
In 2024, the SEED Initiative was transformed into Relief Oasis, expanding the organization’s focus to encompass all aspects of sustainable development. The renewed mission emphasizes global growth strategies with the intention of impacting change in every aspect of life and well-being.
